Sprout Pocket is an iPhone and iPad app where parents choose the YouTube videos and websites their children can open. Share something from your phone, and it appears in your child’s library on their iPad.

How it works

From your iPhone to their iPad.

Set up once. After that, anything you find in YouTube or Safari is a share away from your child’s library.

  1. Sign in and add a child

    Sign in, create your family, and add your child with a name and a symbol. Mark your phone as a parent device. Children don’t have their own accounts.

  2. Pair the iPad with a QR code

    On the iPad, choose “Connect child device.” Scan its QR code with your iPhone, or type the code, then pick your child. The iPad asks “Is this your family?” before it connects.

  3. Share what you find

    In YouTube or Safari, tap Share, choose Sprout Pocket, pick your child and, if you like, a collection. It shows up in that child’s library.

Sharing keeps working after you close the app. Your phone does need a connection when you share, because nothing is saved to send later.

Your child’s iPad opens to a grid of cards you filled. They open only what you added, and each child’s library is their own.

Collections

Named groups like Science or Drawing. Up to 50 per child, with 100 items in each.

Ask your parent

Your child asks in their own words. The request doesn’t search the web or add anything. You read it, then share something if you want to.

Minecraft iron farm

Each child profile is a name and a symbol: leaf, sun, moon, star, paw or bird. No photos.

Staying on the chosen item

It opens what you picked, and stays there.

Videos play inside Sprout Pocket

When a video ends, your child can replay it or go back to the library. YouTube may still show related videos and links in the player, but tapping them doesn’t open another video, page or app.

Websites stay on the approved page

A web page opens in a viewer limited to that page. A link off it shows a short notice for a few seconds instead. Approving one page doesn’t approve the whole site.

Changed your mind? Remove an item from your phone and it leaves that child’s library. Other children’s copies stay until you remove them too.

Parents still nearby

You stay in charge from your phone.

  • Five-minute Parent Mode

    Your child taps “Parents” on the iPad to ask for parent access. Open Sprout Pocket on your phone and approve it under Requests. After five minutes, the iPad goes back to your child’s library.

  • Every device in one list

    See your family’s paired devices from Devices.

  • One shared iPad

    Pair it once, then switch whose library it shows from Devices. It shows one child at a time.

  • A second parent

    Invite another parent with a private invitation you send yourself.

A curated pocket library for one family.

Sprout Pocket isn’t a browser or a Screen Time replacement. It’s a small shelf of videos and websites you chose, inside one app. It needs a network connection to load the library and play videos.
